You won’t have to worry about the slim, high density battery of the Motorola R2 wearing down before shift change and you won’t be caught off guard because pressing the PTT button will activate the LED light, which blinks red to indicate a low battery charge state.

The R2’s analogue and digital compatibility make it ideal for transitioning from an analogue to a digital radio system. If your organisation currently uses an analogue system, the Motorola R2 can be programmed to work with both the old and new radios. Once all analogue radios have been replaced, the R2 radios can be reprogrammed to have all digital channels.

The Motorola R2 utilises the same 2-pin connector as the Motorola DP1400, which allows for the use of all the same audio accessories. Additionally, the R2 shares the same chargers as DP1400.
