The MOTOTRBO R7Ex handheld radio is ATEX and IECEx certified for use in locations where flammable gases, vapours, mist and dust may be present. It provides safe, secure and reliable push-to-talk communications to workers in dangerous and also loud and busy working environments. The device provides push-to-talk functionality as well as messaging services to enable team communications. Other features are GNSS location tracking, R7Ex’s built-in voice recording and playback, lone worker and fall alert features.
On top of that, it is built with easy-to-use controls and easy-to-understand status indications for easy in-field use. A range of ATEX-certified headsets is also available for use with the device.
The Motorola R7Ex FKP is IECEx IP66 and IP68 certified and can withstand fine dust, powerful water jets, disinfectant contamination and full submergence in water. It also has a wide operating temperature range.
Motorola radio’s R7Ex is designed to deliver clear audio in all conditions. Gain control and received audio levelling features smooth over voice transmissions. Intelligent audio also automatically adjusts the radio output based on background noise levels to avoid blaring messages or missed calls.
Team leaders and workplace managers also benefit from easy device management. The R7Ex can be programmed over the air through DMR or Wi-Fi so radios can be updated while workers are using them.
