Icom IC-M410BB Black Box VHF/DSC Marine Transceiver
The Icom IC-M410BB black box VHF/DSC marine transceiver is built to be compact, convenient and useful. This Icom marine radio is built with a space-saving multi-station, CommandMic and black box configuration. Up to two stations can be installed, with the IC-M410BB allowing for simultaneous VHF radio and intercom functions.
All operations on the Icom IC-M410BB long range two-way marine radio, including DSC, can be made from the HM-195GB CommandMic. The RF unit can be installed anywhere, up to 60 ft (18.3 m) away from where you use it. A built-in 13 W amplifier in the black box also allows connection to an external hailer speaker. You can also sound foghorn patterns from the hailer speaker.
Sound quality is also good with active noise cancelling technology for removing background noise from both transmitted and received audio.
Devices feature a distress button for DSC (digital selective calling) to digitally transmit distress information to the Coast Guard and other vessels. The DSC watch function continuously monitors the DSC channel (Ch. 70) for added safety and security.
Devices are also built with NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183-HS connectivity for data communication with other marine equipment. The radio can send GNSS (GPS) position, AIS, DSC call and radio channel data to other equipment.
Other features are IPX7 rating for waterproofing (1 m depth water for 30 minutes), an integrated GPS receiver, AquaQuake function, external speaker connection from the CommandMic cable and an anchor watch function.
