Icom IC-F5330D VHF Digital Mobile Radio
The Icom IC-F5330D is a VHF digital radio for unique setup requirements. With the main unit and the remote controller connected over an ethernet cable, the distance between the unit and the controller does not impact audio quality. This can allow the unit to be housed near a roof antenna and the controller to be housed in a downstairs room, for example.
The setup range can also be extended up to 100 m (328 ft) with an inexpensive cat. 5e LAN cable.
Digital functions (voice and data) on the Icom IC-F5330D include: individual, group and all call modes, status calls and polling calls, short data messages, call alerts and radio checks.
Security and safety functions include a digital voice scrambler, emergency call and lone worker functions, remote monitoring and radio kill, stun and revive. Hardware features include the ability to set an IP address for the main unit and controller, a GPS receiver connection with an optional ACC cable and a D-SUB connector. The device also features channel scanning functions.
The IC-F5330D is also ruggedly built, with MIL-STD-810 rating for shock, vibration, temperature and other environmental stressors. The device’s Commandmic is also IPX4-rated for water splash resistance.
