Icom IC-F5022M VHF Marine Base Station
The Icom IC-F5022M is a great VHF marine base station radio for organisations that need powerful and reliable basic onshore to offshore communications. This mains-powered device is powered with AC power for indoor operation and features all the radio communications marine base stations need.
The device features a clear and easy-to-read display with indicators for transmission, busy channels, signal strength indicator, low power, audible (unmuted channel), scrambler function, bell icon for MDC code receipt and scan function.
Function keys can also be programmed for customised setup.
The IC-F5022M has a user set mode that allows you to set custom frequently used settings for preferences and operating requirements. A voice scrambler function also provides private communication between stations. Emergency calls can be performed using the emergency call function. When the emergency call function is activated, the DTMF or 5-tone emergency signal is transmitted on or repeatedly on the emergency channel, depending on the channel.
Devices also feature a stun function for remotely disabling radios in offshore vessels. A priority channel selection function is also available on the device. On top of this, the Icom IC-F5022M VHF marine base station is compatible with the MDC 1200 signalling system. This allows additional PTT ID, emergency signalling, radio check receipt, stun and revive and aliasing functionality through the MDC 1200 system.
