The Hytera PDC680 dual-mode rugged radio is a mission-critical DMR radio and an Android-based smartphone in one. As well as putting smartphone apps in the hands of users, it uses narrowband and broadband technologies to provide mission-critical voice calls, photo and video recording, positioning and more.

The Hytera PDC680 is designed for noisy and stressful environments with an enlarged front chamber and professional acoustic design to deliver very high volumes. AI-based background noise cancellation, echo cancellation and wind noise reduction technologies also combine to deliver clear audio transmission. The PDC680 is also rugged and durable, rated at IP68 and ESD IEC Level 4 to survive water, dust, impacts and electrostatic discharge.

The Hytera PDC680 dual-mode radio is engineered for effortless usability. The ergonomic and modular design of the device’s smart knob and keys makes it easy to accomplish tasks with one hand. As well as this, it also combines smartphone app technology with the clearest and loudest audio for noisy environments and a highly durable build.

The PDC680 provides fast and accurate positioning to track people or devices. GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, QZSS, BDS and A-GPS are all used for outdoor positioning, while the location-based service (LBS) and WLAN are used for indoor positioning.

With dual HD cameras, the PDC680 allows workers and responders to live stream or feed high-definition pictures and videos to other devices or to control rooms to improve situational awareness and for evidence gathering.

The PDC680 also automatically switches between digital radio networks and public networks. With its ability to register to both networks using the same ID, the PDC680 can always select the optimal network.

All Android-based apps are available on the device. The PDC680 supports system-level apps developed by Hytera as well as other third-party apps. Workers and responders can use the most efficient and popular methods of working with app-based technology.

The PDC680 secures voice and data through authentication, software and hardware encryption. TrustZone protects the system, full-disk encryption (FDE) protects the user data, air interface encryption (AIE) and end-to-end encryption (E2EE) protect the voice and data communication.

The PDC680 is also built for smart management. Managers can remotely manage radios in batches, including for upgrades, programming, permission control, key configuration, app management, device health management and data backup and recovery.
