The Hytera HP715Ex digital and analogue ATEX two-way radio comes in two variants according to hazard level certification:

  • HP715Ex IIC – gas group: IIC (e.g. Acetylene, Hydrogen)
  • HP715Ex IIA – gas group: IIA (e.g. Propane)

Hytera’s safe battery and anti-static technology and silicone encapsulation technology prevent liquid, inflammable dust or explosive gas from entering internal circuits and becoming ignited. Additional circuit protection mechanisms also limit electrical circuit energy to non-ignitable levels during operation.

Most explosion-prone environments are noisy, and having radios designed for these environments helps to improve efficiency and boost safety. The HP715Ex handheld radio has a 2W speaker to deliver louder audio for message receipt. AI-based noise cancellation technology and automatic gain also ensure messages are sent clearly and at the right volume.

The HP715Ex is certified against IP6X and MIL-STD-810H after undergoing a comprehensive list of reliability tests, including accelerated life testing, impact testing and drop testing. It is rugged enough to withstand tough environments where impacts, shock and dust are encountered.
