Entel DR482 UHF DMR/Analogue Radio Repeater
The Entel DR482 is a compact and robust UHF radio repeater designed to deliver reliable communication with a 100% transmit duty cycle at 25 watts. Built for demanding environments on land or at sea, it combines continuous-duty performance with a space-saving design.
A key advantage of this repeater is its integrated design. It includes a built-in AC mains power supply capable of charging a 12V backup battery, while an optional internal duplexer allows single-antenna operation. This reduces the need for additional external equipment, simplifying installation and saving valuable space, particularly useful in control rooms or compact technical setups.
The unit supports both digital (DMR) and analogue communication, with a mixed mode option that automatically switches between the two. This makes it ideal for organisations transitioning from analogue systems while still supporting legacy radios. Programming and updates are handled via a straightforward Windows application, allowing users to apply updates or add features without specialist intervention.
Built to withstand harsh conditions, the repeater features a robust enclosure and has been tested against vibration, thermal shock, impact and environmental exposure. It also includes protection against antenna faults, overheating and power fluctuations, helping to maintain reliable operation over time. Flexible mounting options – desk, wall or 19” rack – make it adaptable to a wide range of installations.
